The only glass sports floor manufacturer in the world
ASB, short for Aluminium Systembau Horst Babinsky GmbH (Aluminium System Construction Horst Babinsky GmbH), was founded in 1965. The company has always focussed on high value through quality and intelligent design. ASB is an important development partner of the leading world squash associations and has brought the sport several ground-breaking innovations. Thanks to years of experience and sound knowledge of materials, the company has continued to develop and with its ASB GlassFloor, it is now the only manufacturer of the glass sports floors in the world. Aside from sports, the glass floor, particularly in the full LED variation, is used in many different sectors: at events and in showrooms and corporate headquarters.
A flexible advertising medium and design highlight, the LumiFlex is offered for rental by ASB Rental Solutions GmbH for all types of events.
ASB is based in Germany and is active in 32 countries. The focus of business operations is on Great Britain and the USA.

Versatile use for video floors: ASB GlassFloor visualises floor plans
When building a house, buying a flat or planning conversions, the floor plan often forms the basis for the decisions that need to be made. This is challenging for the human imagination, as it is difficult for untrained onlookers to translate drawings into life-size dimensions. Real estate expert Lea Dörrmann has addressed this problem: With her (T)Raumerlebnis, she can virtually recreate rooms in their original size. To achieve this, she uses the versatile ASB GlassFloor video floor.
ASB Architectural equips Microsoft Lagos with digital window
After installing the impressive waterfall for the Microsoft headquarters in Ireland, ASB Architectural changes continents for its next installation for the software company: In Nigeria, a multifunctional wallpaper was created. With its LED density, it provides a unique spatial experience.
CHAOS//LOOP 2023: Christof Babinsky is exhibiting at the Venice Architecture Biennale
Whether as an artist or entrepreneur, breaking the boundaries of the expected is a recurrent theme for Christof Babinsky. For the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Managing Director of ASB GlassFloor has created ten works of art that draw on the possibilities of the digital world and explore the dynamics between art, artists and algorithms. The works are displayed on the LED panels he developed, the Digital Wallpaper, which also expands the design scope of architecture and is now being transferred to a new context in Venice.
