HAILO at interzum 2025: “Clear concepts and clever systems” for the household

HAILO will demonstrate the width of its product spectrum at stand 40 in exhibition hall 7.1: the family business has breathed new life into its models Mono and ÖkoFlex, classics in their portfolio, with a complete design revamp. The simple, affordable waste bins continue to enjoy international popularity, and have now been reissued in a contemporary form. HAILO wouldn't be HAILO is the company didn't also exhibit numerous practical innovations, such as Cargo Aqua, for example, a waste management system that exemplifies how HAILO responds to the current needs of its customers. The high-quality in-cabinet designs are fitted to the front asymmetrically, which leaves enough space for a water station on the inside. "Affordable and good, healthy filtered water that you can drink straight from the tap is an aspect that is becoming in-creasingly important to consumers," says area manager Stephan Müller. "However, where do you put the filters? Finding an answer to this and to the many other questions that constantly arise in the continuously developing environments of the kitchen and the utility room is HAILO's job – and we do it with passion and inventiveness."
HAILO illustrates the fact that simple solutions are often the best with Allegro, a pull-out unit system that consists of a non-slip mat placed underneath bins combined according to the individual needs and waste separation habits. HAILO also presents solutions for the utility room in Cologne: here, fitted systems for storing bottles, crates of drinks or laundry keep everything in order – and they are now not only available in the standard white, but also in a modern dark grey colour.
At the interzum, HAILO is therefore showing waste separation and organisation systems for all requirements and all kinds of cabinets – thereby both underlining its leading position in the market for standard products, as well as its role as a developer of precisely fitting solutions that meet customerspecific demands.
Waste separation systems made from recycled materials
Besides this year's innovations, the stand will once again also focus on the issue of sustainability. "Sustainability is a firm element of our DNA," says CEO Jörg Lindemann. "Ever since the establishment of our company, we have focused on developing our business in a way that is guided by people. Naturally, this also includes a comprehensive sustainable strategy." At HAILO, this extends to all levels of its business activities: from protecting the environment to occupational health and safety, from human rights and sustainable procurement to the product development: HAILO's fitted systems are extremely long-lived and therefore create very little waste. Eventually, once their life-cycle is at an end, the non-composite, high-quality materials used contribute to ensuring that HAILO products are recyclable by up to 100 percent. In addition, the company is increasingly using recycled raw materials. The plastic used for the designs Tandem Black and the space-saving version, Raumspar Tandem Black, as well as designs from the HAILO Euro Cargo range, is made from recycled material.
With this commitment to quality, functionality, comfort and sustainability, HAILO will also continue to be a reliable partner for intelligent waste separation and organisation system solutions in future – and this not only at interzum 2025, but at all times and all over the world.
Waste separation system HAILO Cargo Aqua for water filters underneath the sink
Increasingly more people now tend to drink filtered water straight from the tap. Integrated water filters are therefore en vogue – and take up a lot of space inside the kitchen sink base unit. Thanks to the new compact waste separation system HAILO Cargo Aqua, various bins and a water filter can now easily be installed next to each other.
Waste separator bins and a water filter – both underneath the sink
Before the HAILO Cargo Aqua was available, customers usually had to choose: they either stored their waste separation system below the sink, or installed a water filter there. With the HAILO Cargo Aqua, the company with the red dot logo has now launched an innovative solution on the market: due to the asymmetrical way it is fitted to the front and the waste separation system's sheet metal housing, the Cargo Aqua does not extend across the entire width of the unit, but leaves enough space for a water treatment system to be fitted either to its left or to its right.
The HAILO Cargo Aqua is available in four versions. It comes in a timeless dark grey and can be installed in 600mm, 750mm and 900mm wide units. The 600mm version offers the customers a choice between one or two inner bins that can be taken out. The 750mm version features two inner bins with a volume of 28 and 18 litres, and the 900mm Cargo Aqua is even equipped with three inner bins for optimum waste separation.
Cargo Aqua therefore once again illustrates what HAILO stands for: products that offer innovative solutions to new everyday challenges.
HAILO Allegro System: Flexible pull-out unit solution for use inside kitchen cabinets
Ever since the launch of the first bins for fitted kitchens in 1953, HAILO has been the specialist for waste disposal solutions – and has continuously confirmed its leading position in this segment with innovations throughout the over 70 years that have passed since then. With the HAILO Allegro System, the company has now launched a new range that guarantees efficient waste separation inside pull-out units thanks to outstanding flexibility. The system can effortlessly be fitted into any existing type of pull-out unit and is easy to keep clean. The wide range of combination versions with inner bins makes it possible to adapt the system to the individual requirements.
The HAILO Allegro System consists of three elements: the inner bins, a system lid and a mat. With its specially developed nubbed texture and a non-slip coating, the latter ensures that the inner bins are kept firmly in place: the nubs reliably grip the bins, whilst the coating on the reverse of the mat prevents slipping. A customised mat cut ensures that it fits into any cabinet as if it were tailor-made for it.
The system lid, which, on the one hand, prevents unpleasant odours, and on the other provides a practical storage shelf, it available in variable widths ranging from 450mm and 500mm to 600mm, and features a pull-out mechanism. The HAILO Allegro System is available in several versions that perfectly adapt to different fitting heights. This versatility makes it possible to make optimum use of the available space inside the kitchen cabinet, and at the same time make the waste separation efficient and sustainable.
HAILO Mono and ÖkoFlex: Two classic products now also available in dark grey
When it comes to waste disposal systems in the home, HAILO has a clear agenda: the company offers a practical and suitable solution for all rooms, all requirements and all tastes. HAILO Mono and HAILO ÖkoFlex represent two ever-popular designs that have totally got the hang of this. Both ranges are designed for carousel units. They are extremely easy to fit – and are reliable companions for everyday kitchen chores: the waste bins swing out when the door is opened, but the lid remains inside the cabinet. When the cabinet door is closed, the waste bins swing back inside the cabinet and are hygienically covered by the lid.
The round Mono and the oval ÖkoFlex designs have so far been available in a timeless black or made from stainless steel, depending on each customer's personal taste. An elegant dark grey version has now been added to both ranges. HAILO Mono is available in the new colour in three sizes: with a holding capacity of 12, 15 or 20 litres. The classic design can be fitted both on the right as well as the left side, requires a cabinet width of at least 400mm, and is simply attached to the side of the cabinet.
The oval ÖkoFlex designs can also be fitted to either cabinet side. The respective cabinet must be at least 450mm wide and must be a carousel unit. The wide deposit opening ensures comfortable waste disposal – especially when the kitchen user is in a hurry. The practical HAILO ÖkoFlex is available as a waste bin system with one 18-litre inner bin that can be taken out, or with two 8-litre inner bins for waste separation.
