More than ever before, most people's lives are now centred around their homes. Work, family life and leisure time activities – everything happens under one roof. Even more important, then, that we feel good in our homes. Hailo has been contributing to this feel-good factor for more than 70 years: with clever products and systems that makes everyday life more orderly, comfortable and convenient.
With this concept, the family business based in Hesse, Germany, has been successful in over eighty countries. All over the world, the brand with the "red dot" logo stands for comfort, quality and a practical value that addresses people's needs and makes everyday life in the kitchen, bathroom or utility room easier.
2020 – a surprisingly successful year
Last year was an exceptional one for all of us. For Hailo, 2020 was also an exceptionally successful year: if people are spending a lot of time in one and the same place, they understandably want to design it according to their own ideas. The products with the red dot were therefore very much in demand.
Thanks to its expertise in hygiene solutions, Hailo was also able to help companies and householders to master the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic. For example, Hailo already managed to get protective partition screen systems for added safety in businesses market-ready in the summer of 2020. Hygiene solutions were also very popular with companies and householders, for example Tandem AntiBak, the waste separation system with antibacterial effect. What all of these solutions have in common is their focus on usefulness – and they are also examples of how agile and fast Hailo responds to unusual challenges. The family business therefore continues to look towards the future with optimism.
Hailo awarded EcoVadis Silver accreditation
Last year had another milestone in store for Hailo: a Silver EcoVadis accreditation represented external confirmation that Hailo meets its corporate responsibility.
Sustainability has always been a firm element of Hailo's corporate culture and policies. The EcoVadis sustainability score determines to what extent this has been successful: in the overall corporate social responsibility (CSR) rating, we scored 83%. This means: with a score considerably above the average of the companies assessed by EcoVadis, Hailo is in the top 17% of the companies ranked.

At this year's interzum@home, the company will be presenting a range of new products and additions to some of its existing best-selling ranges. Two successful organiser systems for kitchens and utility rooms are now available in a new, fashionable colourway. A smart cabinet opener also responds to voice activation. Another new addition to the range is an innovative pet food storage and organiser system. Again, all of these products were developed on the basis of Hailo's fundamental principle: making homes more feel-good.
