The sports floor of the future presents itself in Düsseldorf

February 2018. The “Who’s Who” of the sports business meets at SPOBIS in Düsseldorf. And for the first time this year: with ASB GlassFloor. The innovators from Bavaria present their sports floor of the future at two pivotal spaces. Especially Christof Babinsky’s speech “The Future of Sports Flooring”, where he explained the revolutionary concept of his sports flooring system, caused a stir among investors and press representatives.

The SPOBIS-Festival is Europe’s largest and most important sports business event. Whoever wants to know into which direction this multi-million business is going cannot miss this annual two-day congress in Düsseldorf. In line with this, high-class visitors, exhibitors and speakers attend this event by the river Rhine. For instance Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of FC Bayern München, Hans-Joachim Watzke, Managing Director of Borussia Dortmund, and Joachim Müller, Chairman of Allianz Germany, were speakers next to Christof Babinsky during the fair.

ASB GlassFloor debuted at SPOBIS this year. The sports flooring innovator from Bavaria, who elevates floors in sports venues to a whole new level, thus presented itself to an impressive league of athletes, managers and sports venue operators for the first time ever. Visitors of the SPOBIS were able to see the “Future of Sports Floors” for themselves in two pivotal areas: the main stage as well as the Expo-Area stage were equipped with ASB LumiFlex floors – showing that the scope for design is enormous. ASB’s booth was very well frequented during the entire fair, offering possibilities to obtain more information and talk in more detail. The sporting greats showed extraordinary interest in the glass floors for permanent as well as portable installations – the latter are also available for rent. Visitors included e.g. Stefan Mennerich, Chairman of the FC Bayern Digital & Media Lab, or Dr. Lukas Weber from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, who made use of the event to interview Christof Babinsky.
