Press releases from Rehau
REHAU at SICAM 2022
Extraordinary design emerges from the visionary strength of its creators. Allowing that strength to unfold takes a design process supported by optimised service, high-quality materials and forward-thinking expertise. It’s how projects are elevated to a new level, how spaces are created that make our lives better. This complete package for interior design is what REHAU means by “Enabling Exceptional Design”, which the company is now focussing on at SICAM.
Certified sustainable: REHAU Industries SE secures ISCC PLUS certification
The RAUKANTEX evo edgeband is the first REHAU product for which the company uses polypropylene (PP) based on non-fossil primary raw materials. The polymer expert can now clearly prove this thanks to ISCC PLUS certification, which guarantees traceability throughout the entire value chain. RAUKANTEX evo – part of the sustainable RAUKANTEX eco.protect product range – is just one element of the holistic sustainability approach that REHAU has been pursuing for many years in the edgeband product segment.
New: RAUVISIO crystal Deep Collection
REHAU is adding an elegant depth effect to the popular visual glass effect of RAUVISIO crystal to create an exciting new option: the subtly shimmering metallic look. The new Deep collection lends a new dimension of depth to matt surface finishes.
REHAU boosts edgeband services with state-of-the-art logistics centre
For over 50 years, REHAU has supported furniture manufacturers with its RAUKANTEX system, providing perfect edgeband solutions for their projects. Customers can choose from a wide range of services that make selecting and ordering the right edgeband convenient and simple. Now, REHAU has expanded its service & logistics centre in Visbek in Lower Saxony: Customers can now choose from even more stock items and lots of services related to edgebands. Stock items are shipped from the fully automated high-bay warehouse the same day they are ordered.
Edgeband Symposium 2022
The Edgeband Symposium, the annual event that REHAU holds in alternation with the IMA Schelling Group and HOMAG GmbH, was held online again this year – but that did not detract from the quality of content, nor the popularity of the event. Quite the contrary, in fact: numerous participants representing the industrial and craft sectors logged into the specialist event, which this year concentrated on zero-joint technology, digitalisation and sustainability.
REHAU brings product innovations and programmes to trade audiences in person
The world of furniture thrives primarily on visual and tactile experience. After an involuntary break, in summer 2021 REHAU embarked on a roadshow lasting several months and showcasing a real trade fair flair. REHAU’s FurniTour visited more than 30 locations in 15 countries, offering visitors the opportunity to experience products and take part in exciting face-to-face conversations. Many people from industry, retail, skilled trades and the world of architecture and design were interested in what was on offer.
REHAU receives ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Interior for the noble matt collection
After having received not one but three three prizes at this year's German Design Award, the Furniture Solutions Division also captivated the jury of the ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Interior with the noble matt collection just before the end of the year. They have also been established by the German Design Council - and highlight another aspect of excellent design with a focus on architectural solutions.
REHAU: Tested. Simple. Unique. RAUKANTEX FP edgebands
The RAUKANTEX FP product line, developed by REHAU as part of its fire.protect product family, is a halogen-free, flame-retardant edgeband that opens up numerous design possibilities for property owners, architects and interior designers. It is also just as quick and easy to process as all other RAUKANTEX edgebands. The edgebands are extremely versatile and can be used for rooms in public buildings or for upgrading rail vehicles, for example. Of course, RAUKANTEX FP has all of the relevant European test reports for building construction and rail.
RAUKANTEX health.protect - more protection in daily life
The average person comes into contact with three surfaces an hour, which have in turn already been touched by others. We touch our faces just as often. With every touch, we pick up 30 to 50 % of the organisms that have settled on a surface. REHAU is now providing even more protection in daily life with the latest innovation in its RAUKANTEX health.protect family. In addition to antibacterial surfaces and edgebands, it has now added edgebands with an antiviral coating that is effective against specific viruses to its product range.
New edgeband generation RAUKANTEX scratch.protect sets new standards
The trend away from high-gloss surfaces and towards elegant, matt designs is sweeping through the entire furniture industry. Whether in living spaces, offices, kitchens, bathrooms, shop fittings or hotels – matt is in demand everywhere. Yet with matt surfaces in particular, differences in quality in the materials and processing are especially noticeable. Alongside its already well-known noble matt finish, REHAU is now delivering a new standard of quality for the other matt gloss levels with its RAUKANTEX scratch.protect generation of edgebands, thus achieving an elegant matt look for furniture with long-lasting effects.
Next Generation: REHAU launches sustainable edgeband lines
Sustainability is a key issue at REHAU. Using its polymer expertise, the company is always striving to improve polymers, make its products more sustainable and recycle available resources. This is now being achieved in the products in the RAUKANTEX eco.protect concept. The two new product lines RAUKANTEX eco and RAUKANTEX evo impressively demonstrate how sustainability can be applied to furniture edgebands.

REHAU noble matt collection: the redefinition of matt
Kitchen manufacturers, furniture designers, architects and consumers all agree: matt is the new gloss. Matt surfaces, used in exciting combinations with high-quality contrasting materials, add timeless elegance to trendy living spaces. REHAU’s new noble matt collection does exactly that, plus much more. The perfectly coordinated design concept includes the surface, edgeband and storage, enabling carpenters, designers and industrial partners to create seamlessly integrated furniture and rooms. All with the customary high level of quality, of course. The collection is being launched under the slogan ‘The touch of beauty’, as its beautiful appearance is accompanied by a pleasant velvety feel. It also, of course, has soft touch and anti-fingerprint technology.
REHAU: High-tech highlights for retailers
From 16 to 20 February, the EUROSHOP trade fair was the place to be for anyone interested in shop-fitting and shop design. REHAU showed off its specialist profile and system solutions for commercial cooling and digital signage under the slogan ‘Keep it cool, get it green!’ Everything revolved around the topics of energy efficiency, sustainability, integrated functions and design. If that weren’t enough, the polymer experts at REHAU also skilfully showcased the myriad ways its RAUVISIO polymer surfaces can be arranged, offering inspiration for shop design.
Passion for color 2020 – The new REHAU surface collection
REHAU is bringing the magic of this volcanic island to interior design with Passion for color 2020. The six colors in the collection represent its breathtaking natural scenery, legends as old as time – and the country’s hip capital, Reykjavik, with its buzzing atmosphere. Each color is effective in its own right, can be combined with the others, and offers contemporary design inspiration for anyone who works with interiors.
REHAU adds more decorate finishes to its RAUVISIO fino range
Lacquered surfaces help any room exude design, elegance and quality, from kitchens, bathrooms and living rooms through to shops and modern offices. The RAUVISIO fino range, part of REHAU’s surface collection, is your gateway to the world of lacquer.
The Creative Design Collection from REHAU
How can we elevate the simple edgeband to a design feature in its own right? Ever since edgebands were invented, architects and designers have been finding ways of making them an integral part of their interiors. Attractive structural changes between the surface and edge, a deliberate mix of different textures, decorative elements that extend to the wall and furniture – the possibilities are endless.
REHAU realigns Industrial Solutions division and financial departments
In response to a continued downturn in market demand and to finetune its organization toward targeted, profitable growth, REHAU announced today the restructuring of its Furniture Solutions and Industrial Solutions division.
REHAU at SICAM 2019
In autumn every year, subsuppliers to the furniture industry present their latest developments at SICAM in Italy. REHAU brought a particularly special innovation along to the 2019 event: FLIPDOOR, an innovative new interpretation of the cabinet, attracted huge interest from industry specialists during the four days of the trade fair.
REHAU: Design with different surface materials in perfect colour harmony
Living space in cities is becoming increasingly tighter and more expensive. This presents new challenges for interior design. Because the aim now is to create residential units that are not only functional but also tailored to the individual and of high quality. There is a demand for spatial and furniture concepts in colour match that make rooms appear bigger than they actually are.
REHAU at SICAM 2019
The overall picture is only as strong as its individual parts. That is why REHAU takes a holistic approach to interior design, offering furniture components that perfectly complement each other. Because the final result can only ever be unique if the front, worktop, edgeband and storage space solution are in optimal harmony. REHAU will be showing what this all means in reality at the SICAM fair in Pordenone, Italy, from 15 to 18 October. This is the place where the leading companies in the international furniture supplier industry will again gather to show off their latest concepts and solutions. Companies will present their ideas on the latest trends in interior design – with a key focus on decor, design match and digitisation.

Two international driving forces behind innovative premium products pool their expertise: HYUNDAI and REHAU have joined forces to create added value for their customers. To start this collaboration, the two companies are launching a mineral material in selected countries in the EMEA market. The medium-term objective is international cooperation. The cooperation includes consolidating existing designs and also developing joint designs, to be able to emphasise new features of surface materials. A diverse range of fittings is also an integral element in order to respond to a variety of customer needs.
REHAU Edgeband Symposium 2019
#edge is digital - this was the motto of the traditional Edgeband Symposium, which has been an integral part of the industry's diaries for 28 years. This year, users and industrial customers met regularly at the premises of HOMAG AG in Schopfloch. As every year, the organizers REHAU and HOMAG offered a deep insight into the technical innovations, market developments and design trends that will be important for the "edge year" - and attracted numerous industry experts and journalists to the Black Forest with top-class topics and speakers.
